XC races are scored according to category (Cat 1, 2, 3, Junior, First Timer) and class (age). Race length is determined by estimating how many laps can be completed in the following time frames:
35 minutes for Junior / Cat 3 / First Timers
70 minutes for Cat 2
105+ minutes for Cat 1 / Pro
The number of laps, or course length, will vary between the courses but will take into consideration time frames listed above. In other words expect to race about the same time at each course, with consideration to trail conditions.
Marathon races are scored by the number of completed laps within a 3 hour time frame.
Schedule:

Registration Information Registration opens at 8:15am and closes 15 minutes before each event.
All riders must present an annual license or pay for a one-day license. **
LICENSES:
Cat 3 / Juniors / First Timers **In 2009, Tim Edwards State Farm has provided financial support that allows Psycowpath to remove the one day license fee for Cat 3 and Junior riders. Racers must still fill out the form but will not have to pay for a one-day license.
Cat 2 & Marathon category riders must present a current annual USAC license at registration or purchase a one day license for $10.
Cat 1 racers are required to have a current USAC annual license.
To buy a license: Annual licenses may be purchased on-site for $60. If you have purchased a license in the racing year but it hasn't yet arrived in the mail, you MUST show a copy of the form you filled out at a previous race or if you registered online then you will need to show a printed receipt confirming your pending registration.
If you have questions regarding USAC licensing or want to read about all the benefits of having a license, please visit www.usacycling.org.
With your purchase of an annual license at the race venues the Nebraska Cycling Association will hook you up with cool stickers and a water bottle.
